Boyd Cordner
Boyd Cordner is one of rugby league’s most respected leaders, known for his courage, humility and commitment on and off the field. A proud Taree junior, Boyd went on to captain the Sydney Roosters, New South Wales and Australia, winning three NRL premierships with the Roosters and playing at the highest levels of the game. His career was built on resilience, discipline and putting the team first, qualities that now make him a powerful role model for young people. After being forced to retire early because of repeated concussions, Boyd understands the mental challenge of losing the game, identity and routine that had shaped so much of his life. His experience gives him a genuine connection with Reboot Mindset Academy’s mission: helping young people understand that strength is not just about toughness, but about knowing when to speak up, seek support, make better choices and keep moving forward.
Nate Myles
Nate Myles is a proud Far North Queenslander and one of rugby league’s toughest and most respected forwards. Raised in Gordonvale near Cairns, Nate built an outstanding NRL career playing 233 NRL games at club level. He also represented Queensland in 32 State of Origin matches and Australia in nine Test matches, earning a reputation for his work ethic, resilience and uncompromising team-first approach. Throughout his career, Nate was known for doing the hard things well, showing up for his teammates, handling pressure and leading through effort rather than words. As a Reboot Mindset Academy ambassador, he brings a grounded and relatable message to young people: success is built through discipline, accountability, strong support networks and the courage to keep turning up, especially when life gets difficult.
James Segeyaro
James “Chicko” Segeyaro is a proud Papua New Guinea international and former NRL hooker whose playing days were defined by speed, toughness and instinct around the ruck. Born in Goroka, Papua New Guinea, and raised in Cairns, and making his NRL debut for the North Queensland Cowboys in 2011. James proudly represented Papua New Guinea, including at international level with the Kumuls, carrying forward a family and cultural connection to the game and was the first-ever second-generation PNG International, to follow his father’s international footsteps. His career took him through success, setbacks, injury challenges and new beginnings, giving him a lived understanding of resilience, accountability and personal growth. As a Reboot Mindset Academy ambassador, James brings a relatable message to young people about identity, discipline, backing yourself and learning from every chapter of your story.
Kieran Foran
Kieran Foran is one of New Zealand rugby league’s most respected playmakers, known for his toughness, leadership and ability to compete through adversity. Born in Auckland and raised through the junior rugby league pathways in New Zealand and Sydney, Kieran made his NRL debut for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles as a teenager in 2009. He went on to build a long and decorated career, playing more than 300 NRL games and winning the 2011 NRL Premiership with Manly. Throughout his career, he was admired for his playmaking class, defensive courage and fierce competitive spirit, while also navigating injuries, setbacks and personal challenges. Kieran has also become a strong advocate for mental health, speaking openly about the importance of therapy, support networks, honest conversations and breaking down stigma, particularly for young men. As a Reboot Mindset Academy ambassador, he brings a powerful message about resilience, accountability and the importance of support systems, showing young people that strength is built through honesty, discipline and the willingness to keep showing up.
