Mental Health First Aid (Accreditation)

The Mental Health First Aid course is designed to teach individuals how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health issues, provide initial help, and guide a person towards appropriate professional support. It covers various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, and equips participants with practical skills to offer immediate assistance in crisis situations. The course aims to reduce stigma and promote mental health awareness in communities. 

 

This training can be delivered face-to-face, on-line blended. (12 hours total training time)

Blended - 7 hours on-line = 4 hours face-to-face or 2 x 2hr zoom).

Youth Mental Health First Aid (Accreditation)

The Youth Mental Health First Aid course is designed to teach adults how to assist adolescents experiencing mental health challenges or crises. It covers common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, and provides practical skills to offer initial support and guide young people towards professional help. The course aims to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma among youth. 

This training can be delivered face-to-face, on-line blended. (Face-to-face - 14 hours total training time,  Blended - 

Teen Mental Health First Aid (Accreditation)

The Teen Mental Health First Aid course is suitable for schools and sporting clubs designed to teach teenagers how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health issues among their peers, provide initial help, and guide them towards appropriate professional support. It covers various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse, and equips teens with practical skills to offer immediate assistance in crisis situations.

 

The course typically consists of 4 sessions, each lasting around 60 minutes.

This training can only be delivered face-to-face.

Mental Health First Aid - Conversations About Suicide

Equips adults with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, co-worker or other person, experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviours.

This training can only be delivered face-to-face.  (4 hours training time)

Mental Health First Aid - Conversations About  Non-Suicidal Self Injury

Equips adults with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, co-worker or other person, engaging in non-suicidal self-injury.

This training can only be delivered face-to-face.  (4 hours training time)

Mental Health First Aid - Conversations About Gambling

Equips adults with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, co-worker or other person, experiencing harm or a mental health crisis related to their gambling.

This training can only be delivered face-to-face.  (4 hours training time)
